Naturopathic Medicine suggests that we Detox, at least Seasonally. I suppose that’s like, take out the trash daily, but every now and then, “wash the can”? Well, here we are (those of us who live in areas where there are (4) recognizable seasons), it’s Spring.  It is time to reveal to the World how you spent the colder months of the last Season. For some of us who may have picked up some Winter Weight, here is a possible solution to rid yourself of the evidence.  Releasing the unwanted belly fat can  reduce some of the fat around crucial organs in the abdomen.  We don’t want to overtax or compromise our health.  As with other suggestions, please check with your healthcare provider before starting a new regimen.  This drink helped me, over the years, to flush some fat, and pee off some pounds. The mixture of citrus and turmeric or ginger cleanses the liver and kidneys and reduces inflammation.

Health Tips – Belly Flattening Detox Drink

Lemon, Cucumber, Ginger, Turmeric Drink- Make One Gallon !

  • One gallon of water
  • 3-4 Lemons (Squeeze-3) Slice one (1) Thin
  • 1 Whole Cucumber Sliced Thin
  • Large, sliced pieces of Ginger Root (less if you don’t like the bite) or use Powder Ginger. About a teaspoon.
  • Teaspoon of Turmeric
  • Mint Leaves (optional) gives a slightly sweet taste
  • (Hint:  Stevia, Maple Syrup or Honey as a Sweetener).   Allow the mixture to set 8-12 hours. It gives the flavors a chance to intermingle.
  • The above is Optional. It’s for people who Still have a Sweet Tooth, like me!
